Bye Bye 2007
It is already 2008...Last year went by SO FAST! There really wasn't anything super exciting going on this new years eve....SO...Kevin and I just had a few friends over to celebrate. My good friend JoAnn drove down from the Sacramento area and our friends Rob and Emily came over as well. The night was spent playing games and stuffing our faces with all sorts of food, from JoAnn's homemade meatballs to Rob and Em's chocolate fondu (thanks again guys). No need to beat around the BUSH :). We had a blast.
It was really nice to have JoAnn here. It had been a while since I had seen her but as soon as I hugged her it felt like no time had passed. Kevin and I wanted to show her around to some of the places we like so we took her to eat at Ruby's on the pier in Seal Beach. We also wen to Laguna Beach (I love it there) and of course Disneyland. I felt bad because we were all so tired from staying up the night before that our day at Disney ended early. We are all getting SO OLD! Thanks for coming to see me JoAnn. I love you and I'm sure everything will work out for you in Idaho.
I am one of the last remaining people who actually like making new years resolutions. Two years ago it was to read three books. Those who know me well know that I am more of a movie person. Well I am proud to say that I did complete that resolution. It took me a couple months over a year but I did it and I have actually read three more books since then :) Last year I did ten things that I had never done before and this year it is to push myself to be more social. It can come in the form of taking classes at a community college, joining a gym and taking a kickboxing class, or trying to find a community softball or basketball team to join. All of these are things I am hoping to do. It is time for me to get out of the house and make new friends. Kevin's resolution is to lose 10 lbs. I think he can do that easily.
So I did a little research and I found out that the cartoon the Jetsons was supposed to take place in the year 2062. That means according to Hanna-Barbera by the time I am 80 years old we will have flying cars and alarm clocks that will pick us up and throw us in the shower. Oh the things I have to look forward to.
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
