Sweet (Former) Home Alabama!

It seems that even though I moved away from B'ham almost 8 years ago and most of my family has done the same, there is always some reason to come back for a visit. This year it was to be in my friend Erin's wedding.

I have known Erin since the first day 4th grade and I can very vividly remember the day I met her. She had moved into our neighborhood in the summer and when school started she was in our carpool. When we picked her up I could tell she and I were gonna be great friends. She was very much a tomboy with really short brown hair and was wearing a jacket that had a map of the world on it. In my nine year old mind I thought that was the coolest thing I had ever seen. As luck would have it we were in the same class that year and quickly became best friends.

While we went through middle school and high school we didn't really hang out in the same crowd and our personal lives didn't always mirror eachother, but we always remaind close and I am grateful for that. When she asked me to be a bridesmaid I was so excited. I could tell that she was so happy.

The wedding took place at her parents house...(where kevin and I had our reception over two years ago). Everything looked beautiful. The ceremony was in the back yard and the reception was in the front under a tent. Erin's little brother is in a band and provided most of the entertainment, but her little sister carrie took her turn playing the acordian as well :). Jared is part jewish so they had the chair dance and stepped on the glass....The best part was how happy Erin looked. She looked like she was on the verge of tears the whole time. It was very cute.

Kevin wasn't able to come out with me this trip. He had to cover a jet ski race here in California....So...I didn't have him there to take lots of pictures for me, but I did get a few :)

Another treat was while I was there was that I got to stay with my best friend Monica and her husband Kyle. It was the first time I got to see their home and i must say they did a really great job of making sure I was taken care of. thanks again guys...you are the best! I also got to visit with my friend corey so that was nice. Living so far away from everyone gets tough.....I love having the chance to see everyone even if it is just for a few days. The bridesmaids: Lydia, Lauren, Me, The bride, Courtney and Carrie
Corey, Me, Monica, and Kyle
Mr. and Mrs. Milson...Congratulation guys! I love you :)
